Need a good mic

So planetside is getting closer and i wanna have everything i need to take 100% advantage of everything the game offers. Im going to use voice chat as I assume most of you here will. I need to buy a nice mic that hopefully can sit about 10" or so from my face so i can have it on my desk. Also could someone provide me with a link to some of the best voice chat software(s)? Thanks

i have an ncat by labtech. i dont know how good it is compared to others. but it works nice for me.

We (TGF), currently use Microsoft Gamevoice. I've heard Teamspeak is good also. Gamevoice has shareware version or the full version..click here

Teamspeak is quite common and very good. Never tried Gamevoice, but from what I've heard; it's quite good as well. You can;t really go wrong in the software department.

For the actual headset, I've got a plantronics DSP500. They have the new wireless Bluetooth out now; so check it out if you into that. I'd recommend them highly.

Me as well, works fine for me. We're gonna be using Teamspeak2, don't know how it compares to gamevoice though

No, they stated that there will be no included audio communication. I don't know any good headsets though sorry.
