Clever idea.
Obviously not only would the 3d cockpit potentially move a bit, but the lighting would change in it as well. Doesn't really matter though, this gives a very good representation of the general feel of flying in the 3d cockpit. It also shows a real world indication of what flying will be like with a portion of the screen blocked off. While it wouldn't technically make as much sense, I'd love to see the same video done with the Mosquito cockpit superimposed over the image instead of the Reaver cockpit. Just because I have more concerns about the Mosquito than the Reaver as far as visibility, since the Mosquito doesn't have as good of a view of the ground on its lower side views. Nice edit. |

Very good for comparison purposes. While the Mosquito doesn't seem to have that much more percentage of the screen blocked, it somehow feels a little more claustrophobic. That combined with the clearly less visible ground makes me hope the Mosquito gets a little reworking. Since it is a 3d cockpit, hopefully it won't be hard for them to tweak camera positionings and do other small adjustments to get them all nice and balanced. Both look a lot of fun to fly in though. I think I'm going to watch both of those once a day until beta comes out, to get my flying fix. You rock Morto. |

just add some slight skewing when its making turns and shake when the weapons fire and afterburners go on and you're pretty close! Oh, also you need to add head tracking and make the hud dynamic... =)

Been playing Planetside since beta, albeit off and on, and been a long time follower and fan of PSU. Never registered or even posted for years now. This bit of info however has made me change that If PS2 does indeed support head tracking, such as TrackIR, let me, as an aspiring military pilot, just end my very first post on PSU with this......
