Eh, they're especially cranky about keeping topics in one thread around here. Also, I'd avoid any signs of a Ps1 Vet vs Noob debate. Past that, it's a pretty friendly bunch.

I just got a little misty eyed because that is EXACTLY how I heard about Planetside myself. The only difference is, I was lucky enough to have that conversation back in May 2003. However, you did pick a perfect time to discover Planetside. Sign up for beta and you'll get to see what you've been missing pretty soon.

I definitely signed up. I'm usually late to the part when it comes to games. I took one look at the graphics and my current laptop can't even run it but my friend (same one who told me about PS2) is gonna build me a spiffy new desktop.

I looked at the newcomer's forum and I don't even understand half the questions. Is there a new-newcomers forum or maybe some magical FAQ thingamabob? I hearing from actual people and not just premade stuff or reading old conversations though.

Well that's a good starter. Looks like a crapton of customization and stats. Just the way I like it. I'ma just look through that channel some more. I think I'm leaning more towards the NC because that's what the two people I know are gonna be.
