I just got these a few days ago. They are extremely comfortable, the ear cups are deep cushioned and comfortable, same with the headband. You can wear these for hours without feeling any discomfort. Most comfortable headphones I've ever bought, IMO. The sound is rich, full, and amazing. Very crisp highs and adjustable bass. It goes very deep if you max out the booster. You can add a 7.1 surround sound adapter for extra money, if you so wish. The mic on it is very flexible and is crystal clear. The headset itself is very sturdy and feels like you should have paid at least $100. If you feel like spending a bit more money, there is a 7.1 DSS wireless headset for $130.

...in their marketing campaign. They manufacturer a mediocre product with terrible quality control, print "GAMING" on the box, then charge 2-3 times what it's worth. And people buy it. A lot.
If you're looking low budget, there are some good bang-for-your-buck options from sony and koss. If comfort is #1, i'd take a look the Audio Technica ADH-700, or Beyer Dynamic DT770 |

What's wrong with printing gaming on the box? As for charging 2-3 times what it's worth... let me tell ya... this X12 was worth every penny and more... I would pay twice as much for it if I knew how good it was. Extremely comfortable, very sturdy, and amazing sound. Plus, they look great. $60 is definitely not an expensive price for this quality at all. On the two you listed, you say TB prices things 2-3 times more than what they're worth? As Pella said, a lot of people don't care if you can hear an ant fart. Plus, where's the mic? I'd price those headphones at $70 absolute maximum. But please, list some examples of TB pricing their headphones for more than they are worth and I will gladly step down in defeat.

Doing the research for this purchase is your responsibility, not mine. However, TB makes a lot of money relying on that fact that do not. Last edited by Shadows; 2012-07-22 at 07:05 PM. |

I'm actually in the market too for a headset. I've had a Audio Technica for over a year now, but I need something new. Not having a attached microphone, is killing me as the wires always get tangled. I got so frustrated I rip apart my clip on microphone to untangle it. Thats pretty bad right?
The set I think I'm going to get is the Steelseries Siberia V2. Seems to have a good reputation and I can get it for under $50 from China via eBay ($100 in states), but its going to take 1-3 weeks to get here. I can hold that long personally.
