NC-ODA 1785 was formed on the basis of small squad tactics and strategy, to foster Team work, comradery,and fun in Planetside 2.

NC-ODA 1785 is a 18+ Mature, Small Squad based Outfit for Planetside 2 looking for North American Players, specifically US WEST.

What sets NC-ODA 1785 apart from other Planetside 2 Outfits?

The Mission of ODA 1785.

Operational Detachment Alpha – 1785 is not a conventional front line warfare oufit.

ODA 1785 is a Special Operations Capabile Outfit. Its Primary missions are as follows.

Direct Action: Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physically and political risk, operation techniques, and the degree of discrimination and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives.

Unconventional Warfare: Activities conducted to enable a resistance movement or insurgency to coerce, disrupt or overthrow an occupying power or government by operating through or with an underground, auxiliary and guerrilla force in denied area.

Special Reconnaissance: Operating behind enemy lines, avoiding direct combat and detection by the enemy, directing air and missile attacks, in areas deep behind enemy lines, placement of remotely monitored sensors, and preparations of other forces. Gathering intelligence on all levels of enemy activities and movement.

Manhunting: Deliberately identifying, capturing or killing of senior or otherwise important enemy combatants classified as high-value targets.

Sabotage and demolition: deliberate action aimed at weakening another entity through subversion, obstruction, disruption or destruction.

ODA 1785 is not a conventional Frontline outfit. It has the capabilities of conducting Frontline Operations but its area of expertise is Special Operations in enemy territories with specific objectives outlined for either disruption, capture, kill, or destruction.

ODA 1785th Operational Report.


The 1785th moved deep into enemy territory today to disrupt operations and conduct Guerrilla operations through out the area.

Through multiple strikes at enemy held facilities the 1785th was able to capture and control facilities as well as at one point completely cut off the enemies front lines from needed supplies.

Through continuous capture and move methods the 1785th was able to move to within 500 meters of the enemies warpgate.

At this point, enemy forces where moving fast to retake the facilities the 1785th established a ambush team to slow down oncoming forces.

This ambush team not only ambushed and slowed down the forces, but was re-enforced by the forward capturing team, for a sudden unexpected reversal of what the enemy thought would be a easy retake and destruction of harrasing 1785th forces. In that short skirmish the 1785th turned the table retook the facility and killed over 10 enemy TR soldiers.

After this point, 1785th moved back into guerrilla operations conducting "Bait and Blow" operations along the way, destroying over 4 Lightenings 1 Prowler, a Mosquito and 2 or 3 Liberators, Two confirmed Liberators the third may have survived. Over 20 Enemy TR soldiers lost their lives, to include one very surprised TR soldier that had his face smashed in by *NAME REDACTED* in a MAX suit, when he slapped the poor sap.

The 1785th conducted their operations while deep inside enemy held territory for over 4 hours, with no resupply outside of their own available, No lose of their Sunderer, minimal personnel lose, (Nothing the outstanding Medics of the 1785th couldn't handle), under continuous and sustained attack by TR Forces, when they could figure out what the hell was going on and catch up or find the 1785th.


1785th was able to not only "Cause Hate and Discontent" but was able to extract via "Flash Mob" to friendly lines.

"The 1785th Is crazy, I've seen them drive sundy's where sundy's shouldn't go, Crash Gals into bases that had been held for days and break the defenders back with 5 guys, You say they can't and they will. Just because they can. They live by their motto "Causing Hate and Discontent", They do it every time they can to the Enemy Factions, They will give their all to take out a single enemy sundy, or defend a friendly sundy. And over all, They are utterly insane, fun and hilarious on the battlefield. If you aren't having fun with these guys, then I dont know what outfit you belong in."
