Road Kill Glory: Running over people

So I wanted to see how I would do running people over with various vehicles. I spent an hour trying to do road kills and I must say, it was fun and funny at the same time.

1. Vanguard: works well if the other person has arthritis or is looking in the wrong direction. Still easier to just blow them up.

2. Sunderer: surprising how well this performed steamrolling over people. I can only imagine the last thoughts of my victims as they saw this gigantic blue bus cresting a hill and barreling towards them with reckless abandon.

3. Lightning: seems to made of foam at times and just pushes people aside. A little harder to kill people.

4. ATV: now this thing was surprising. At high speed, it will kill anyone it directly rolls over. Of course, you take damage too so you can only do this for so long before repairing, but hot damn it was funny rolling over people at 70 MPH.

5. Reaver: I tried to road kill a few runners after I ran out of ammo. Ended up bouncing a few times and crashing into a wall, but I think it will work if I aim a little better.

6. Galaxy: haven't tried yet, probably won't work in Indar very well due to the canyons, but I'm going try anyways.

Anyone else get a lot of road kill medals?

Nothing infuriates me more than being ran over by a sunderer, possibly because it's always friendly.

Overall I like the Lightning best for road kills because of the speed and maneuverability, even if you have to be going full speed to kill anything.

But I always have a lot of fun with road kills. The most hilarious is the heavies who pop out, fire a rocket at your Lightning, and think they can escape you by running over a hill.. Except they don't generally change direction, they just keep running. I just hit W and don't stop until I fly over the hill and land on them.

I also like sneaking up on infiltrators and running them over, which would be so much better if I could get an addon for my Lightning that played the theme from Jaws every time I did it.

Though nothing will ever beat the time in beta when I accidentally reversed a Vanguard into a low-flying mossie as it sped past at full speed.

you're using the wrong ESF for hit and runs, the VS scythe is designed to do it, why else do they have those razor sharp wings.

haha, this reminds me of launch day on Esamir.. Was rolling down a road with a sundy load of outfit members, see two NC Flashes in a row. Run one over, the second tries to get out the way but also gets popped. Everyone was in hysterics on mumble. Wish i had been streaming/frapsing.

Sunderer are Roadkill/ ram beasts! Dont get in the way if im driving bu please fly your mosquitos in me. in dont know how you manage that but yesterday 3 people ran into my sunderer in like one hour!

Also Galaxys are a menace with stealth! crash into liberators from above as they bomb some tanks, or fly into the middle of a dogfigth and let those mosquitos crash into you! trying do roadkill infantery with air is fun until you encounter trees... or pebbles

It's amazing how many VS try to drive a Flash under my Magrider, usually from behind.

It never works out for them.

The sundy needs horn. Not for honking away the blind-and-deft friendly, but so I can blare it at the last second before running over someone.

About the scythe, a while ago I saw a vid from TB showing some outfits doing organized ops or something. While they were moving toward their objective, TI alloy iirc, a scythe dropped straight down in front of them....and just swept them all down! I was lmao so hard. Blood harvest much ?

flash works well for driving it indoors. no one expects to be run over by a motorbike driving up the stairs

Killed a Mosquito that was trying to strafe my Sunderer the under day. I was in the driver's seat.

Don't play chicken with a giant armored bus.

Re: Road Kill Glory: Running over people

The sunderer should have a roadkiller chassis which adds retractable blades at the sides and increased front armor with spikes. so it does more damage when ramming enemy tanks recieve less damage while doing so. By the way when a Galaxy rams a Sunderer... who wins?

Lol, I was thinking about an ATV alternative that looked like a bumper car. Ramming people would just punt them.

Infantry zerg an issue? Pacifist by nature? No problem, you can clear an area fast and only hurt their pride.

Maybe the new buggies will have a foam bumper cert option that just punts people, lol. I would get it.

The problem with the Flash is that a good player will stand still and shoot you in the head.
