A fix to Indar side

This is simply an Idea that I would believe bring people out of Indar. SOE needs to implement a rotating xp boost for a random continent on a weekly bases. Since XP is what drives the vast majority of PS2 players at this time, giving an incentive other then horrible lag will in my opinion channel players to actually play the rest of this game.

Now I know not all of the servers have the same population issues that Connery has and experience will vary. But this is something that I really feel should be brought to the devs attention for the sake of the game. Please share any of your thoughts about the idea or other ideas that could help this situation.

I still view this as a temporary, and unfortunate, byproduct due to the lack of continent locking and global lattice.
Someday you might want to go to Indar, but can't because you don't have link.

Someday we'll have CyssorSide 2 instead of IndarSide.

I miss Leza.

I don't think I ever got tired of that bridge with my magrider

Was the base on the otherwise Torre? I forget.

To the point.

Your idea would work there is no doubt but it is a very lazy solution to the issue.

I have to agree continent locking is the only real way to fix the issue.

Isn't Indar suppose to be a factions home turf when locking comes in? If so that would remove Idarside for just about good I think.

To be honest I don't like Indar at all. I feels like 3 maps crammed into one as a demo or something. I think Indar should be ripped apart for a battle islands type of place, maybe with a bridge network to link them.

The new updates might help or even completely change how everything is done on planet side. But The xp boost incentive can give us a quick fix right now giving players a different goal and hopefully breaking the monotony of Indar.

Yea I've said this on a few other threads, with the new HexLatice coming in the next update (or was it 2 updates, meh), the game could change quite a lot, so any suggestions based on improving the gameplay while using the Current hex as it's frame of refrence are a bit premature now.

Yeah, I think this might be the only way to fix the issue. At the moment there is no reason to play other continents. They usually have a lot of one faction and no resistance. If you end up in there, there's no real play around. That's when you join the queue to Indar. Crownside is bad but even that is more fun than playing with 5% population on other continent.

the only way to fix indar-side is to add continent lock (which they are doing) and revamp the maps and control points/territories (which they are also doing.

we will get this by the start of next month, have faith ;D

then we shall have PLANETSIDE 2!

Seeing as Indar has the most population all the time and other continents are being ghost-capped or one sided battles, continent lock has the potential to make the game even more indarside.

Im pretty sure he was trying to refer to the continental lattice, which would reduce Indarside.

Simply removing the crown would probably fix the Indar centric nature of the game.

Its a sort of magnet.

Or they could just increase the pop bonus on the other continents to a level where people actually care.
16% when being outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1. Nobody gives a f*.
