I've noticed there's a few vehicle weapons that are just too effective at killing things they aren't meant to be good against.
Specifically, the Flash Fury is supposed to be good versus armor, but in reality, it one-shots infantry and has 5 quick firing grenades with good splash. Infantry get destroyed by it. The Liberator's main Tank Burster gun is another, and it decimates ESF's in a single clip. I was shocked the first time a liberator gunned me up with one of these, and to find out they only cost 100 certs... Finally, the rocket launchers on the MBTs secondary seat. I'll admit, I'm not entirely familiar with them, but it says they are supposed to good versus armor, and they also one-shot infantry. It just seems too be too much. |

Yeah, this kind of thing is definitely a big problem with the game - for some reason anti-vehicle weapons are generally also very strong AI weapons.
The Phalanx wall-turrets are a great example: AV Phalanx turrets are actually much stronger versus infantry than the AI turrets - while also being murder to ground vehicles - whose idea of balance is that? Dumbfire rocket launchers being a powerful AI weapon is another good one - does the Heavy really need this? |

An ESF should never get hit with a tankbuster. Seriously, it's a damn Liberator, its maneuverability is somewhere between a beached whale and a glacier compared to an ESF. If you're in front of it... ... just stop being in front of it and go somewhere where it doesn't have a tank killing weapon mounted.

Watching a lib nose dive and dump its buster mag into my lvl5 blockade armour sundie and its now on fire.

And a 42 round tankbuster magazine does NOT set a blockade armor sundy on fire in one go. It takes 2 full magazines to kill a Sunderer and you need to be incredibly close to hit with all the bullets, and not suffer big dropoff. Should never get hit doesn't mean "never gets hit", it just means that if you were aware of the enemy at the time of being hit then it was your own actions that enabled them to do so. Flying straight at a Liberator or not dashing away from a guy with a brick in his hand, either way, if you saw it coming you could have avoided it. Last edited by Rothnang; 2013-04-02 at 11:25 AM. |

Oh yeah. The Enforcer will kill infantry in one hit........if you can actualy reliably hit moving infantry with a no splash damage rocket. The Halbard has a bit more spplash butthe rocket is slower and has more drop.

It's all because battlefield had the one hit kill rocket launchers so blame that.
And Rothnang, i understand your view point but you obviously havnt seen a good lib crew do that. Calling people bad for getting killed like that is tosh, it happens ... albiet rarely. Last edited by PredatorFour; 2013-04-02 at 07:41 AM. |

Tank buster nose gun should be powerful because the lib is as slow as the hills. I dont see a problem either with dumbfire missiles. Personally Ive never been farmed by dumbfire missiles. Ive been killed by them once or twice. |

Flashes aren't that bad since they are very brittle. They go down with one AV direct hit. Although upgraded, I've seen one tank a launcher hit with almost half more xp.
I only thing I can see go out of hand is the cloaking part. |
