This may seem like a dumb ass question but if we do make beta do we still need to buy the game? I do understand we still need to pay for the subcribtion, but what about the actual game dics and such?(as in when it comes out NOT for beta I know that costs nothing)
Thanks |

Wanting a valuable product for free is greedy, whereas wanting to sell a valuable product is not. In the first instance you gain at their loss, and in the second instance everyone gains. You might think you are only losing, but you wouldn't enter into the contract unless you thought it was a net gain for you.

People will play the beta for free, people find it desirable to be in the beta, and I doubt Sony is willing to pay anyone for that service as a result--either up front or as a continued discount. That wouldn't make sense.
Of course the individual testers are not as keen to ferret out bugs when they are not being directly compensated, but the sheer number of them makes up for that.
