Post My idea for a SFF setup

So atm I'm playing on a Macbook Pro 13" with a dual core i5 as well as integrated HD4K. I am getting around 60 frames per second, but I want to see the full beauty of planetside (Including the infiltrators whose cloak I cannot see at all). As I want to try to re-use as much as I already have (Which is not much) I'm heading to a SFF. As I am [s]an alienware fanboy[/s] a lazyass I will have a company build it. I basically only need some help with if my future specs can run planetside 2 on at least high, if not ultra with PhysX activated. Not gonna grab an i7 as I wont need the extra threads. I will use at least 1TB as I might turn it into a hackintosh cuz I wuw OS X. Well, I'll leave this link and will just stand and watch until I get a response.

I'll take a look at this later when I get back from work. You cannot beat the form factor of that X51 I will say. Really small footprint, my brother has one and its pretty nice system.

Based on my google searches everyone seems bitching about it. Then again the threads I fimd are like one year old and equipped with an i3. I'm happy that some actually like alienware/are neutral towards them though

That looks good to me. Not much else you can do to customize the system through dell. My only other recommendation would be to build a SFF yourself, but you made it clear you don't want to.

Should be very playable at ultra. Have fun!

As far as running OSX you have verified you can get it run on the motherboard equipped on with the X51? In terms of getting proper drivers and such.

Actually I should check that up, thanks for pointing that out.

Honestly you're one of the most humble and nice persons I've met. Seriously. No wonder you're a mod

EDIT: I will be using a program called virtualbox as it's a lot easier to use.

Thanks. Glad I could be of help.

Never heard of virtual box before. If it works, then I guess you are all set to order.

It basically runs OS X as a program. I won't use heavy programs so that will do for me.

Yeah I am. Thanks a lot for everything.
