Yeah Reaver squads are super powerful they can be taken out by ground and counter-air forces. Don't fear the Reaver squads, get your hand on a Striker or a Phoenix and go hunting.

Well, considering a Lancer is the anti-vehichular and not anti-air weapon I would guess its kinda hard to hit a reaver. But a whole reaver squad is an awsome idea. It isnt unfair. That's like saying a whole MAX squad or whole stealther squad is unfair. When if you have the right equipment it would be like cutting butter.

yes the common man's certs are building up and there are a lot of reaver pilots out there,if reavers become a serious threat we'll just see an uprising in AV weapons

Exactly, a good player will adapt his or her self to the situation at hand. If there is a surplus in Reaver activity anti-vehicle/air weapons will be seen more on infantry.

I think Reaver squads can be powerfull if they're good enough but how many battles really take place outside? I have mainly seen Reavers used as close air support or just transportation for a lone hacker to come to cap a base.

Good luck trying to root infantry out of forested areas. Infantry with rockets > reavers

Yeah most key battles occur inside with hacking and whatnot but from seeing this there are key battles outside both air and ground based.
In detail Reavers are extremely useful at attacking incoming troops ( Galaxy raids) and taking out their air support. Furthermore if you are organizing an assault on a base, lab, or neighboring tower, if they have air cover ground based surface to air attacks are not always all that is need. Dogfights on the part of Mosquitoes and most predominantly Reavers can make all the difference.
Also Reavers are useful in eliminating hostiles in courtyards of bases, catwalks and bridges.

Yep, quite right. We cant forget the powerful AA max either.

It would be sweet to see hordes of Reavers clearing the way into a fortified base for a platoon of soldiers though. Sweeeeet... Close air support is the shizzle.

Practically all of them, if you think about it. Most larger battles consist of more troops than the initial contact forces.

The defenders either are spawning inside the target base, or are moving towards it from a nearby base.

The attackers are generally mounting the attack from a nearby base, AMS, or tower.

Everyone who's trying to get there has to cross that open ground somehow I'd be happy to have a squad dedicated to cutting off the opponents reenforcements.
