How do I use ammo from my inventory?

OK.

I've hacked a tower, died, respawned and am guarding it as a TR max (the on with fast rotary guns - cycler?). I hold off a few NC, but my ammo runs out. I've got plenty of ammo in my inventory - standard bullets - but I can't seem to use it in my damn gun.

No matter what I click and drag, I'm unable to get the ammo from my inventory into my guns. I don't hold on to the tower.

Can someone please tell me how to get ammo from my inventory into my primary weapon. I've asked in game, no one answers. I can't find an answer in the manual.

*Incidentally, if a Max runs out of ammo may be it it could use its arm as melee weapons - just try and smash people off until reinforcements arrive.

R is reload- but make sure you're buying the ammo that goes with your weapon.

Thankfully I figured out reload a while back (I'd have been really stumped otherwise).

The MAX armour came with standard 'white bullet casing' ammo. I bought a load more of it but no joy.

When I buy new weapons I only buy ammo that is listed alongside the weapon type.

�t should automatically use the ammo in your inventory. If you buy, say 3x50 bullets for the punisher then it says 30/120 under your weapon. 30 in the clip and 120 in the inventory. When you reload it draws ammo from the inventory to the clip.

Thanks for all help. I sorted out the max problem - I wasn't buying the right ammo for it (hadn't realised one had to buy it on the armour screen).

How do I equip nades to a gun as secondary ammo? Can't get it to switch from armour piercing.

Right click i believe (for punisher) and other weapons have a secondary fire mode with right click.

To use the nades in the punisher right click to select the launcher then it default X to switch ammo types.

It will cycle through different nade types. (Works the same way for the punisher, and the Thumper)

This is also how you switch between Standard and AP ammo.
