hi all! just discovered this new game last week and being a lover of all things fps i thought i'd give it a shot! (hehe)!! haven't played the beta version yet... i think everyone know what the fileplanet downloads are like so probably have to wait for the gold to hit the shelves!

is it true there's a subscription fee to play the game?! that sounds a bit much to me! I mean i love playing games but isn't a bit over the top to charge 10 squids a month to play the game? what is the money going on anyway?

No, many MMO games have a fee. It's nothing new.

what is the money going on anyway?

1) A development team to constantly add new stuff to the game (new features, new weapons, new vehicles, etc).

2) The bandwidth costs of these games are enormous, and the fee also pays for that. Playing with massive amounts of people while maintaining a reasonable ping does not come cheeply.
