oh for pete's sake
No, the models wont be skinnable. This is a MMO game which means the devs have thousands of other people to consider. So even if there was some way to change the skin on your character, you'd be the only person seeing those changes because there is no way 2000+ other people should have to download your skin just because you dont like the way vanu look. Anyhow... *tosses Ahemuro a fire extinguisher get ready..

The simple answer is no, there is no need to flame for it.
Dave described it well in a recent dev update - I cant think of where it is right now. But very little will be customisable - they want a huge equal playing field. This definatly rules out skinnable characters. |

You can read what I wrote in many different ways, but since you cant hear my voice you dont know how im saying it. I didnt mean any offence by it, but if you look at it negativly, then thats the way it will come off to you. Not my fault

Thats the Dev update, her eis the quote from Smke: Nothing is ever certain in this life...but this is pretty darn close... No modding of any kind will be supported in Planetside. In fact, it will be actively discouraged and most of it will be considered cheating. Our goal is to have *exactly* the same rule set and *exactly* the same game quality for *all* participants so that the game itself is completely fair. Reticules don't seem like a big deal in the scope of this decision (no pun on "scope" was intended), but we're serious when we say "no modding of any kind". http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/...TML/000880.html
