So... a little while ago, I created a thread titled: How to Hard Counter AA Maxes with an ESF.

Since then, I've been ramming AA maxes on the regular, but yesterday, I hit the motherload on a group of AA maxes gathering outside our warpgate and spawn camping our air as they come out of the gate.

This is too fun. I hope they don't nerf this. Very hard to do, but so satisfying when you pull it off. I have failed multiple times trying to get a 6 kill ram like that, but I only finally got it yesterday. They ususally shoot you do or are too far spread out on the pad to get that many. Anyway, again, I ask... do you think this should be patched? have you managed to pull it off (post a video!)?

Oh god, that's glorious. I wish I could run people over in my magrider instead of float above them and get shot in my taint.

edit: Just for clarification, I meant enemies. I have no problems running over friendlies. In fact, I am so good at running over friendlies that they don't even need to render for me to run them over. Magrider is the only vehicle to supersede the rendering rules. Truly an overpowered beast.

I get really sad when I try to do that at the crown, but they don't render when I go over their area

I've noticed similar things. I wonder how that works though. They must see you ... going through them? Same thing with tanks rendering far away ... however I'm pretty sure they can kill you even though they can't see you. I've not pulled it off myself though.

I've done a bunch of runs at the crown. You should go slower as you approach to give it time to render them. That said, if you know where they are standing they don't have to render for the vehicle to kill them, since vehicle positioning is based on server side positioning. I have killed 2 maxes + 1 eng on the crown without them rendering.
