Third Person View: Infantry


Is this possible? I remember doing it a lot in ps1 and was great for defending corners.

I couldn't find a key map in the infantry key mapping that allowed this. I just wanted to confirm.

You can only use third person while inside a vehicle. I miss it for infantry.

Oh, I'm sure they won't. It was unfair. I used it as a Max so I could hide my bulk and "surprise" the enemy in the stairwells.

It was also useful during auto run. At least if they ever add that feature back, which is direly needed for long treks on foot.

It's not needed, really. Just send a teammate around the corner first, if he dies then there's enemy. Easy.

I will never understand the planet-side community fascination with this.

Stop turning corners like you're driving a car. Strafe.

No one with a brain sits on a wall edge around a corner in any other shooter game from quake to CS to ARMA, because people STRAFE past corners and you get killed from the side if you do. I'm am really rusty at FPS games and I have performance issues, yet I keep getting free kills on people that I find using this nonsense positioning.
