I think what VGCS means is that radar and recon dart aren't as useful when you can't properly analyse the minimap - since GU09 made it very hard to see detailed data in the minimap - hence it feels like a nerf.

Exactly that. + When I got a 100m Scout Radar Flash hidden in a sweet spot... well post GU-09 it's just not as good when you can't see specific minimap details that the radar is giving you (i.e. enemy in this room or that room? just outside the perimeter of the structure or within?) |

I tweeted @planetside2 and Lance said that my opinion was noted. Not like I matter much but I think they will return the close up in the next patch.

This feature was really poorly implemented.
one of the main things I am looking forward to seeing fixed. Damn it man... Original Planetside seemed to have so many little things perfect, compared to PS2. PS2 mini-map doesn't scale enemies, terminals, deployables, etc... the same as the terrain. Means that shit ends up floating around in the wrong location when you adjust the mini-map resolution. Totally shit. |

Yeah, i only notice it because i have recon darts level 6 and since the patch its a lot harder to read the mini map to deduce enemies locations, it just needs one more level of zoom down. Please fix devs !
