Night Flight

Has anything been mentioned about IR/NV/ETC for air vehicles at night time? Since everything on the ground has the ability to use lights, will air vehicles have some options for spotting targets without having to shine lights on them?

would be really nice to have all 3 as unlockable certs. It'd be sick to see the cockpit all lit up, and the glass having some sort of filter on it based on what cert you have. UGH. HNNNNNNNNG.

While I think spotlights for defence-focused close air support would be cool (another reason not to have 3D spotting, but I digress), it does seem to me that Night time air to ground would be rather handicapped without some kind of augmented vision...

Well in some of the vids we have seen night vision as an unlockable cert for some vehicles (At least I'm 100% sure about the lightning), so it is likely a possibility for the air vehicles as well.

Haven't heard anything about this, but I'd love to see it.

Night vision or some equivalent could be one way, I also wouldn't be surprised if there were some ground radar modifications that could pick out a few targets on the hud. Great for finding things to shoot, but you still need good eyes in the dark.

I think this is what we have the radar for.... plus, if vehicles use their head lights they'll be really easy to spot. And of course the 3D spotting... which I too wish they'd just take out of the game already..! Much rather rely on reports from squad mates on the ground to guide me to targets than effing 3D spotting >_<

You have a link that thread? My search yielded no results. I am interested in what others are saying/suggesting. It just seems the GG and lib would be severely crippled without something to assist for night vision, but I am sure the devs have considered this. I wan some splinter cell type IR :P.

3D spotting is probably going to be removed / made infiltrator specific with limitations. probably 2D spotting.

I didn't get to see any night vision or IR in aircraft when I played.. I think it would be totally badass though
