In one of the recent patches there was a sound file with a LOAD of BFR sounding sounds. Jack off to them whilst we wait for the patch.

How do you know what BFRs sound like?

The last sound file to be added to planetside was patch3.wav which is mainly core combat stuff, where's the BFR stuff?

Now that I think of it, I hear one of the devs at Mobilization said the BFR's would come a month from last Friday, or something.
Ask someone who went.

every last newb is going to be in the caverns, for your information its going to take around 10 high experiance base captures in the caverns, with every last newb in the caverns thats going to take awhile, around 15 hours of work I would say, to get ONE bfr, not get the certification, thats just to be able to spawn ONE. oh well...good luck newbs

No, that's to get the cert. Smokejumper said on the official forums that you need to get attuned, then you can get the cert and spawn it from a suitable base. You don't need to go down there and get 10 caps just to get one BFR.

They said that when you are involved with 10 cavern hacks you get a key, that is even storable in a locker, that allows you to get A BFR.

But then again maybe they meant that one key lasts for ever.

I read something to that effect from some guy on the official forums who said the info was provided by someone who was at the Mobilization Alpha event in Florida. Someone else made a thread later protesting the idea of having to get 10 caps worth of experience in the caverns for one BFR. Smokejumper (or Sporkfire) chimed in to say it requires about 10 caps worth of exp to be able to cert BFRs, but after that you can acquire them like any normal vehicle.

I'll find a quote later.

edit: Here we go. http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/...d=48940#M48940

However, the context was that "current balance" meant "not yet balanced". The weapons that are on them *right now* (in-house) are overpowered. That's not the design that will occur in-game when we release the BFRs.

b) The process of "attuning" (later fiction will describe that process) is a one-time thing. So when you complete the requirements to become certed in BFR, you don't have to do it again later.

c) To qualify for the BFR cert, you'll need to participate in cavern base caps that generate a minimum amount of xp. So late-night base caps won't do anything for you...unless there are enough enemies present to generate a sufficient amount of base capture experience (using the same time-slice system as the larger facilities outside the caverns).

I copied down a lot of these CC improvement ideas. Good stuff. Thanks.
