Favorite Vehicle/Inventory Loadout

I know its been posted before but I didn't want to revive an old thread.

Whats your favorite vehicle and also what is your favorite grunt loadout. Feel free to share tactics and strategies that may help new players.

I love my mosquito even though I couldn't hit china if I tried, but it sure gets me on top of those towers nice and fast to shred those silly NC or VS with my MCG

My favorite vehicle differs to depending on whatever I was doing in game.

Solo: The Reaver just so I could airwhore and be anti-everything.

Group play:

I always loved the Magrider. Coordinating with a buddy, wrecking havoc, outmaneuvering other tanks, slaughtering everything in your path was always a lot of fun.

Also enjoyed any of the Deliverer variants, particularly a fully manned Raider. It was always glorious to mow down BFRs and MBTs before they even knew what hit them.


Favorite inventory loadout? Basically any empire specific MA gun (Gauss,Cycler/Pulsar) and empire specific AV (Phoenix,Striker,Lancer) combo for footzerging. Footzerging was always my favorite aspect of PS1. I spent the majority of my time on VS so I'd probably say Pulsar/Lancer was my favorite inventory loadout. It was very simple, just 3 boxes of ammo each for the Pulsar/Lancer, Med app/BANK, 1 jammer stack and heart of gold and you could slaughter endless waves of armor and softies.


Honestly, some of my best memories from PlanetSide stem from the huge footzerg battles where you're fighting over empty stretches of land just to make a little progress towards the enemy's base. I'm hoping that we'll get enough pop back to warrant some of these awesome footzerg fights again.

I'd say my favorite vehicle overall is a Magrider. I never did like using them in groups larger than two though. Not enough wiggle room. With the right people and support, you wouldn't need more than that anyway.

During the last few months of FTP time, i took up sniping pretty hard. Had a couple custom loadouts on my ATV's for extended hunts. Spent a great deal of time getting close to my side arms as well. Nothing beats the hate spewed forth from a pistol kill.

Other than that, i have no preference beyond what my squad/outfit requires of me.
