i was wondering, if you were a commander and wanted to launch an attack on a base, how do you get pople to do it? do you have to find them one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one by one... ect? or can you call a base from wherever you are for soldiers to come and help you.
if this has already been discused please just kindly point to the page where it has, and yes, i searched for it. dont flame me thanks

Ok assuming you're starting from scratch the way it work is you begin a new squad. Now you are the leader of a squad of 1 (you). Now you can invite people 1 by 1 by 1 by 1 until you're squad is full, people can also ask to join your squad. A squad shares BEP (XP pts) when taking over a base and whatnot (main reason why you make a squad, as well as no grief points and easier communication) You can also link 3 squads together to make a Platoon, platoons also share BEPs. You can just tell people "let's attack base X" and go without making a squad but like i said you have more advantages in a squad.
I think that's about it. |

There are a few different ways of rounding up the troops.
1) If you are in an outfit (guild, Clan) you could request help from your Clanm ates to take the base with you. Being your Clan mates they should jump to the call of a commander. 2) There is a Search menu where you can see a list of all the people who are Looking for a squad (nothing to do) You can send them a Direct message (tell, whisper) and ask for assistance 3) You can do a general shout in your Empires chat channel for people to aid your cause Lots of ways to round up a squad faster than you can say Shamboigle!

No outfit benefits that I'm aware of... though I think there is an outfit chat channel. There have been hints from the devs that SOMETHING will be in place, but the community has no idea what that might be.
People can advertise that they're looking for a squad, and that they're trying to build a squad. People looking to join can list certs they have, or give a partial list ("I'm sick of being the medic! Wanna KILL!"). Platoons, according to SmokeJumper, share CEP... COMMAND experience, not sure on the BEP: http://www.planetside-universe.com/f...&threadid=2475 SJ never got back to me on the BEP-platoon sharing, so I'd say "nope" until we know otherwise. So the grunts will want to get into a squad, and the commanders will want to form platoons. Commanders call the shots, so platoons will be formed. I expect that I'll (I wanna command) be creating platoons on the fly as I'm capping bases, or before hand, if I'm in a big enough outfit. |
