I played for a few months on an off over the years.
I love the feel and scale of EVE's universe and I really enjoyed playing with other people/corps. But the combat could not keep me engaged and having to jump systems for simple parts was annoying. If I had a longer attention span and wasn't so addicted to FPS's I would make EVE my only game. I'll play it again one day... Maybe when combat becomes more interesting. I find it is a very polarizing game: people either love the scale and involvement and gameplay, or they fly around for a little while and become bored to tears. Over the past five years, I've ghosted in and out of the game, playing for a couple months at a time. It's only the past little while that I've felt I've developed the maturity and patience to actually stick with it and play the game the long term.
After getting sick to death of WoW, and trying a few other MMOs over the years, finally settling down, and I plan to play EVE for a very long time; enough hack and slash. Only other MMO game I plan to actively play is Planetside 2, and check out other like games as they are released. |

Hmm my problem with EVE is I feel like I could be spending my time focusing on my real life skills rather than my ingame characters lol. I know a lot of military vets and business professional play as their real life skillset transfers over.
You have to put a lot of time into EVE. It's so indepth it actually feels like a second life.I think you could get sucked into that universe too easily and never come out lol. If I had the time(or managed my time better) I bet I would play EVE again. A friend of a friend just plays EVE all day... No job... Mooches off his parents. He's in his early 20s.
