So what is your role going to be in Planetside?
I think I'm going for the full on Galaxy pilot. I loved filling that role in the original game. I'd love to pimp out the Galaxy with Dragonwolf graphics on the nose, much like the Flying Tigers did to their Warhawks. The exhiliration of taking off just before an OS hits still sits in my brain as a great moment. Sure the loitering could get boring, but it's a role that needs to be filled sometimes. But should a Galaxy pilot not be needed for a mission, then I'll go back to the full-on support role I loved as well. Advanced Medic, Engineer and Advanced Hacker. Blow the door, heal the outfit and fix their broken stuff. All the while pressing forward to obliterate the enemy. What about you?

I'm fairly certain I'll just run around as a grunt as I always did in the original PS. Outdoor MA fights were always my favorite and I'd love to have a pimped out Pulsar and destroy people. I'm really interested to see the kind of things you can increase in the talent tree system with your weapons/vehicles. Hopefully it doesn't give a veteran player too much of an advantage.
Destroying noobs is always great fun, but I don't want to deter people away from the game because I weapon stats are vastly superior to their default weapon. |

Speculation my friend.
I always play Medic in most every game I play. It's a fun play style to me. IN SWG, I went Combat Medic. In EQ2 I was a Warden Druid, in WoW I played Resto Shaman. I'm hoping they expand a lot more on support roles in PS2, and make the class trees very detailed so they can be super fun. I think Adv Med was the only cert I always had. |
