PS2 App Names

Looking for a name for my WP7 & W8 apps (other app makers might be as well)

Above are a few I have considered, please tell me what you like!

I'm leaning towards names with "PlanetSide" in them as I believe they will be more discoverable to people looking for a PlanetSide 2 app.

It really depends on the purpose of your program. If it's a stats tracker, then go for something simplistic like "PS2s Mobile".

Anything with uplink sounds cool imho. And Planetside Mobile if you want to go with what works, and it does. 'PSM' anyone?

FYI the working title for my iPhone app is "Planetside 2 Assistant", although its far from set. Out of those I like Planetside Uplink. The app as you described it isn't specific for command so anything with that in it sounds a bit misleading.

The value of calling it the Command Uplink Device is because it's a nod to PS1's item of the same name, used to call down Orbital Strikes, reveal enemies and friendlies, and do an EMP burst.

And it could be used for commanding in a real sense. Outfit leaders not online could send texts or keep track of how their outfit is doing remotely. They can provide instruction even when not online. Cool prospect.

I definitely like CUD, it seems to fit the best for what it'd actually be used for, which is affecting the battle remotely, as well as getting information about the battle.

I wonder if a combining two of the names to get "PlanetSide Command Uplink" would work. The "device" part of CUD is the phone/tablet/PC itself and seems redundant. PlanetSide helps remove confusion about what the app is about.

Yeah, i like that a bit better. I guess as long as you are clear and concise about what exactly it does in the description then you can name it as you please.
