I remember that Teamspeak interview, I dont know how we pulled that off. But thanks to Spork for doing so, even though I moved on from Planetside. We cannot forget Spork, and I appreciate all his hard work. Your great with the community and where ever you go that community will get a great inside track into your future projects.

Damn. Over a year since I played hardcore, and I still have a soft spot for Spork. Reminds me of all the OF shenanigans that occurred back in the day. The Planetside community is losing a real gem here. And even if I don't keep up with PS anymore, I will miss Spork, and feel bad for the community that has lost him. /salute
Btw, is smokejumper still around? Like I said I don't keep up with PS anymore, so I was just curious. |

I just wanted to make a quick post, I will mirror it here and on the OF.
I remember when SporkFire first came on board at SOE, I had the pleaure of meeting him out in San Diego. He was excited about the ATD shoutcasts and even wanted to try and do one live from there. It didnt end up working out but what followed was a great year. We did the ATD shoutcasts uninterupted for 1 year straight, Spork made the attempt to be at every one and even at every community night.. which he certainly didnt need to be. I consider Spork a personal friend and I am sad to see him leave PlanetSide. But as with anything he will continue on another project and we will see him again, and I am sure he will do just as an amazing job whereever her goes to. Most people cannot understand what he has personally done to make this game go further and make PSU become what it has become. I am forever in debt to him for helping me keep PSU here, and helping us become what we have. We will miss you Spork, see you again soon |

In a game such as planetside with no NPC's, the players are the game. SOE couldn't have picked a better representitive for that playerbase than Sporkfire. As someone once said, this community is "passionate" in their discussions of the game. Sporkfire met this challange with promptness, professionalism, and a rare wit that never failed to make me LOL.
When Hamma and I first considered AGN, we never expected the overwhelming support Sporkfire provided for us. It allowed us a rare change to directly interact with game developers and let you directly hear their passion for the game as well. To have a developer representitive have so much interest in what "we the players" think of the game, that they join the community roundtables just to listen in, will always remind me how lucky we have been. It has been been a great honor and previledge to be able to work with Sporkfire. I am also sad to see him go, but such is life and without change, comes stagnation - a state in which I can never image Spork in. Best Wishes and Success in your next project, Spork. We all at PSU bid you a fond farewell. /salute |
