CTD again!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if anyone else having this problem....I get to entering continent screen then CTD. Same thing happened to me after last patch. Was told last time was ME 98 users (some). Anyone experiencing this??....BTW cant get past login screen on test, just freezes up.....im tired of losing two days of playtime per patch. Any info appreciated.

well if it makes you feel any better the last playtest they did was focused on figureing out why people CTD

Hmmm. Talked to tech support, told me to delete all dll. and client. Did so same prob...ohh the agony.

I'm having the same problem, but I know my issue is my sound card. Try disabiling yer sound card and see if ya can play. Unfortunately PS supports soundblaster live cards, but not the rest of the creative audio family. So unless they add support for additional cards (not really their problem IMO).Looks like I'll be upgrading my sound when I get a chance.
Needed to be done eventually anyway, I suppose video would be next, My GeForce 2 MX is about ready for the retirement home.

i have the same problem, but its my sound card to. I have a SB Live card but when i go in game and change the sound settings to Dolby Surround instead of the default, my game crashes. I fix this by deleting startup.pak in the planetside folder and putting my sound to the default setting. my game works fine until i put it back to dolby, and hte only reason i put it on dolby is that it completely (COMPLETELY) eliminatews my lag. so now i suffer through no planetside, or a buncha lag. can anyone help?

Well, replaced my old sound card with SBL card and whadda u know, still doesnt work. Tech says they know of the prob some 98 SE ME users are having, but cant tell me when a fix is coming. Oh well the clock is ticking ill give it a week.
