Out of date stats

My character page says: Last Data Save: 2013-03-23 04:43 PM

Well it's now 2 days later and players.planetside2...is well out of date. Can you guys kick them to make the stats update properly?

I noticed the same thing, but you should note that the API is still in BETA and beeing worked on. Usually it's updating properly.

All still beta, you'll be lucky to see PS2 stats (here), in game stats and PS2 Player stats all match up correctly across the board.

Yea, we have been dealing with data consistency issues since we got early access back before SOE Live.

If I had to guess they disabled the API data output stuff to alleviate some server bandwidth for the actually game servers. Saving that much data from the game servers can chew up some serious processing time. Especially when there are a ton more players playing all of a sudden.

Hm that could be possible, but the online status and characters_event API are working fine and those actually have most of the stats included needed for the overall stats. I doubt the events are fetched from the game servers themselves, so it's transfered to the API server anyways. I still hope they're just changing stuff and getting the API out of beta asap..

Saying that, my stats never seem to catch up. I can still see my true stats in game which is something.

They should now be updating again, probably just have to login to your character to free it up.

Worked for about 2 days but now it's 8 days out. I don't actually think it's an API problem seeing as it's out on the players.planetside.com site as well. In the "incoming messages" it shows that I levelled up to 36, but in the overview at the top it still shows as 34. The kill board is coming through correctly, within minutes of a kill it's up in the kill board.

I have the same issue, and a lot of my friends have too, maybe all players are affected?. Has SOE said anything about it? It's becoming really irritating.

Yea, one of my new accounts doesn't get updated and it's the same for a friend of mine. I really hope this is just a beta issue and the API is going to be more reliable than it is now. Are your out-of-date accounts new accounts as well? At least mine doesn't even show up.

I can't tell how many accounts aren't updated, but at least about 70k were updated the last 24h, yesterday was about the same.

Just checked something with the API: there are several new accounts beeing updated, so yea, something is messed up.

Ah probably the SOE servers are working and the crappy ProSiebenSat.1 servers aren't. Both my accounts that aren't updating are EU and the one which works is US. It's pretty annoying really. Any way to kick whoever is in charge of that? If not we'll just have to accept that you won't be getting up to date stats from the API and it sucks having stats out of date by so much. Makes the API on EU servers pretty much pointless
