Ok this is so far whats been said by the dev team !

is the cockpit going to be toggleable or has that not been decided?

So its confirm the cockpit view will stay like this and will be forced ON ! Also for those who think thats people will switch to 3rd person view to get a advantage over others they will not be able to do such thing because the 3rd person view wont have any targeting and will be mostly for spatial awareness!

Also youll be able to look around in the cockpit freely as higby said !

Now my concern is Only about the Vs aircraft who apears to have NO sidebar unlike the NC and TR ones look at those

lol well i hope they keep it since the tr & nc are low tech compared to vanu. So why not give vanu the slight advantage or even make them thinner.

I think all 3 should get sidebar the sidebar on vanu are maybe inside the bubble thats also possible we cant see properly since the vanu cockpit is almost tainted !

Empires play differently I suppose. I'm sure there is a trade off in weaponry or something. I believe they will be using alien propulsion as well.

NC and TR have sidebars, VS have blade wings. Both types will probably obscure the view slightly, but none of the three will probably hurt flight effectiveness that much. All three will have much better view and awareness in 3rd person anyways, so it should be fine.

I would love to see an image inside the cockpit of all 3 just for comparison though. Hell, better yet, a video with the camera panning around the full view in every direction of all 3 cockpits. While I'm dreaming, just let us into the game so we can take a look for ourselves

It's going to be pretty cool/interesting if you can look around inside your cockpit while flying, although the controls might be more difficult.
