It's a shame really. I much prefer fighting the TR than the NC.
Facing off against TR MAXs in the open are actually fun, while Strikers just plain piss us off. From a VS perspective (which may be untrue) when looking at the map though, it seems all the good fights are between TR v NC while the VS try to find the table scraps that are TR/NC that couldn't make the pop lock. |

I don't know about markov, but on Emerald the story is much different. Amerish is always, well almost always a pop locked cont. and its always the TR and VS. The best fights are always there, and everyone knows it. As soon as anything, even just some tower caps start up, every man, woman, child and all their cousins' head to Amerish. I guess we feel Amerish is supposed to be OUR home cont. , not the VS who have to come all they way across the planet to get to it. A Instead of the nice, beautiful contitnent like Amerish, we get forseral, an ice cube and a desert that strongly resembles what people think of when they think of hell.

The best fights are where the TR, NC and VS all meet, it rarley happens, but its awsome.

when NC tried to break into Amerish yesterday we came across a small issue...we had 1 tower and were seiged down...through one door came pounders and strikers...through the other, lancers and lashers...TR had no idea VS was on the other side, and they both had every intention for the tower....basically i took a good 8 people with me before the tower went under in a zerging, and hell, we had over 30 people in there defending

Whenever VS lock Amerish, I always take about 3 outfit squads there to take the north and slowly more and more forces come until we're all at heyoka and verica and the vanu have ikanam and tr have kyoi and the base directly to the east of heyoka. Usually theres about 200-300 vs marching over the hill to kill us from the west and about 150-200 tr marching over the sloping hills to the east, and at that time we usually hold them off for an hour and then get pushed back to verica until we're kicked off the continent at the end of the day. Still fun though. =p
edit: Hey mj, i was in that tower yesterday, i took down about 25 vs while guarding the cc before i got taken down. Thank god for engie/med. Last edited by Venoxile; 2003-07-09 at 03:06 PM. |

I wouldn't say horrible big guy. I would say we haven't been doing as well since alot of people have left the TR for another because of the nerfs. Oh well, that will just make us better warriors/gamers because we will have to do more with less...we will adapt. And for those of you who jumped ship because of the nerf shows your true loyalty....

When I logged on to Markov last night, VS was actually the lower population at the time and I was like "Wow!" lowest population, but we seemed to have the most bases. Maybe a bunch had just logged off before I signed on.
One thing I've noticed about the VS lately is that rarely do the majority of VS players lounge around waiting for the cap anymore. As soon as the base is secure, most people head to the next objective before the enemy has time to set up defenses. It's great looking at the minimap and seeing all these little green dots headed toward the next base or tower. I think a lot of the VS success is due to good coordination and teamwork. I've noticed a drop in NC coordination and well, frankly I never saw much TR coordination that ever really amounted to anything. TR used to just swamp you with numbers and superior rate of fire. Maybe the low TR population will actually improve the TR tactics by forcing them to adapt to the situation. I think that was actually what happened to the VS in the begining with their lower population and lack of weapon strength. We were forced to rely on tactics to get wins and we have a lot of loyal players who have stuck with it from the beginning racking up a lot of experience. |
