They think its a good idea with a Double XP weekend while the game is still unplayable since the latest "update".

Also irritated that i didnt find out until now, how are you supposed to know? I follow all their twitter accounts and PSU site and the official site and forum posts and even logged in every few hours to get some passive certs and didnt read this anywhere?!?

First day of GU4 there was a talk in forums about the FPS problems. I know this because I started the first one on PSU and Hamma even tweeted it out. Besides, twitter is a horrid place to get information. 150 letters if just shit for telling anything past what you had for lunch and shouldn't be used to gather feedback. Lurk some forums and you'll see all you need to know.

I do agree that having a 2x XP thing during this crap isn't that smart but it is clearly a MLG gig planed long ago. So there wasn't much of anything that could have stopped the event. If it was pushed back after the FPS drops was fixed it would have been one hell of an "Im sorry" though.

In any case Im taking this time to things I can't do while playing an online game. Like upload a few videos, listen to some great music, and work on a bit of my gaming backlog. The 2x XP doesn't matter all that much to me as it can make the game feel like a huge grind when everyone only wants to grind as much farm as possible and not play the damned game as it is meant to be played.

I play PS2 for the war. Not to get XP.

Sorry for the rage-post guys. Saw it in the news now sneaked in at the end of a "pay to win" news-story (normally don't read those).

It would be nice if the next GU is released in the beginning of a week as they've had a bit of a habbit of messing them up. That would give them a few days to get it sorted for the weekend when the servers are busy.

I hope they give another double xp weekend soon... as a way to apologize to the playerbase for that messed up laggy buggy patch we are dealing with.

I'd like to enjoy my double xp without having to deal with nonfunctional medi-kits. The medkit is my preferred utility item when playing heavy. -.-

I'd much rather they just do away with double XP. The sheer amount of hackers and other bullshit I've run across this weekend doesn't even come close to an enjoyable time.

yeah this^

it's nice to have medics around, but theyr not always reliable, so med kits are my bread n butter. frustrating weekend to say the least.

Thats why you go resto! Restos have worked since beta. Med kits have constantly been bugged.

You should Consider reading every new "Lastest News" item that pops up in the list in the Launcher. It's what it's there for.

I hope they don't do double exp. With boosts I was getting 300 exp for normal rez, 480+ for kills. 2000 exp for a single tank... I've now got 2000 certs sitting there gathering dust because I have nothing to buy, not even any guns are jumping out at me to buy.

Instead of a 'here's double exp to say I'm sorry' I'd rather. Here we are putting a lot of time to fix these big bugs we made in gu04.

Not a fan of Double XP promotions, or XP boosts of any kind. I prefer to take my time ranking up in a game; prolongs the interest.

What do you have to aim for once you have reached BR100 and have certed everything that you want?

The problem is that the double xp goes towards BR - it should only be double certs.

Not everyone like double certs but many people do and they drive excitement and activity - which are the life blood of an MMO.

On the other have there is no reason to tie BR to double exp(or boosts and membership for that matters.)
It would have been nice if there was 1 somewhat accurate measure of what you did in the game.

Impossible! Agree that all the primary stats are pretty meaningless; XP/min included.

I prefer to look at things like number of facilities captured/defended, or Vehicles destroyed. Or number of kills with specific weapons (over 2K now with dual Falcons

).
