Me and my gf's relationship has been going very well. Unfortunatly her parents dont want her dating. We are both 16. They think she is too young. First of all I just want you people to know that we don't plan on having sex. I don't know if that is what they are worried about but whetever it is its bs. Her parents have been stadily tightning the rope on their daughter. At first I could go over to their house and we could hang out, no biggie. Then they caught us hugging. We wernt even makining out right then (thank god) but they still got pretty pissed. Today at school she told me that they wernt letting her go see a movie with her friend (We were planning for me to meet her and her friend their and leave before her parents picked her up.) Now she just came on AIM a few min ago obviously distressed. She said she had some really bad news to tell me and that her parents were really getting strict. I don't know how bad it is yet. She said she wanted to tell me at marching band practice in a few hours. Until then sitting here worried. I know she dosen't want to break up with me because she said that was not it. We are determined to stick together no matter what her parents do. I just need to know whats the best way to deal with her parents?

Best bet is to acctualy sit it down and talk to them. Ask them if they really do feel that hugging is so bad. You have to make it clear to them that your not a walking penis filled with hormones. And if that doesnt work..... well then... its one of those secret relationships untill your caught and then you fight to the death..... anyways.... that fucking blows.
Good luck. |

My new girlfriend's (thanks guys, by the way!) parents are also damn strict (they won't even allow single dating ). The way that's worked for me so far is being clear, direct, and not asking for too much (they'll just tighten their grip). |

that is a good idea, even if your 16 its the right and mature thing to do, they sound like those strong religious type parents who will not let their daughters touch a man until like....ever...lol anyway yeah, what Peace said... |

What would happen if you explained the situation to your parents, and asked them to talk to her parents for you?
Or else I recommend doing something like showing up at her house when she isn't there just to talk to her parents, as an adult, and explain to them why you're someone who's okay to date their daughter.

It's now or never, dont bother going behind her parents back anymore. Sit down with her mom and dad if this girl means alot to you. Explain your intentions, and ease any concerns they have. This will work in most cases, and has worked for me
If this doesnt work, break it off. The relationship will only go downhill from there. |

Happens to me sometimes with my gfs. You got a few choices, A) Get a new GF, B)Tell the parents to fuck off its her life she can do what she wants, C) Talk civilised which mostly dont work, D) get your parents to talk to there parents and this turns out the most effective.
