how is woodman server for NC?

with the patch coming at the of the month I'm looki g to move my NC guy to another server as the one I'm on atm is well....... bad. no NC and not many fights. was looking at wood man the other night and the NC seem to put up a good fight no matter the odds against them. most continents looked fairly even so would like to hear from woodman players on how the server is.

You're complaining about NC on Miller? Hang in there I would say. I would consider them there slightly behind atm vs VS and TR but things are looking brighter for you. Recently, they have been stepping up their game, getting good continent locks on prime time.
Also, I'm not expecting the upcoming patch to turn out bad for NC in general, making less people tempting to switch to the other empires.

If you can't find a good fight on Miller, I'll doubt if you have more luck elsewhere.

Woodman NC hold their own, though there is very little fighting outside of Indar for anyone (occasional zergs for continent bonus). NC outfits on Woodman I have noticed about are GODS, NCCT (Cut Throats), 151st, C6, DCFT (Doomcraft), =ShoX=, LC (Liberties Call). Sorry if I forgot any!

TR have a *slight* pop advantage on Woodman, but overall it's balanced and the fights on Indar have been non-stop and great.

There is talk of NC outfits moving all together to Miller though when server transfers are enabled, that's where the party really is.

*edit* additional info, NC held the Indar bonus at Woodman for last 4 weeks. Esamir / Amerish change whenever anyone can be bothered to go there.

I hardly consider this to be an accomplishment. Due to the concentration of population on Indar it is next to impossible to take it. Therefore anyone who manages to get it once will obviously hold it for a considerable time.

On Ceres for example Indar hasn't been claimed by any faction since it last reset.

Well that depends how you look at it. Indar is hard to take so taking it is quite the accomplishment. Having said that, VS seem to have the easiest time on Indar, NC the hardest. Besides population and empire differences, I'm not sure why that is.

We werent the first to cap it though, we took it from TR during equal pop. TR and their crown

Indar is easier to hold due to the number of hexes, but also because NC outfits on Woodman gtfo back to Indar as soon as we're in danger of losing it. I must add that the server pop has been really poor recently, we often have a 2-5% xp boost depending on the time of the day. I like it personally, some people dont. Its not that bad though as Indar is roughly balanced between the three factions; TR might have an advantage sometimes but it doesent show as they chill at the crown.

I'm was gona wait for a few weeks when everyone starts moving to see if miller steps it up. atm I don't see many outfits and few fights. had near 60% pop on 1 cont last night and was still getting destroyed by 49% TR. loosing the will to play on milller atm.
we shall see how it pans out. a move is not out of the question.

Yeah, we do pretty decent on Indar generally, and pretty decent whenever we decide to go somewhere else (had a great time on Esamir the other night). It's not difficult to find a decent fight.

From my experience, Woodman seems to have a lot less of the issues people are always having with the game (finding fights, infantry combat outside of Biolabs just being camping vehicle-fests etc).

Well, this is fitting for my first post. ANYWAYS.

I've been playing on Woodman with my outfit in NC since the 'full' release, and as Rolfski said - Indar is the main continent to fight on, even though there is some fights going on at Esamir or Amerish - it's nothing compared to Indar.

If you're looking for the NC who actually pushes back the TR or the VS when they lash out, look no more. At the same time an NC alliance is appearing there aswell (if you didn't know already.)

Ask anything specific about the server if you want to - I'll keep an eye on this thread.

sounding good so far. as long there is fighting to be had and we give the other factions a challenge then it sounds good to me.

what us team play like? if I ask for a heal am I Gona get one with In a few mins? Same for ammo. atm if I ask on miller I hardly ever get anything. stood next a medic asking for heal not long ago, he looked at me and then ran off lol.

Generally, in a decent sized fight anyway, i'd say yeah. Usually there's a load of medics just running around, healing everything in sight, and paying attention to people calling out.

Specifically calling out for ammo I find can be a bit more hit and miss. But if you're in a bigger fight, you'll generally be tripping over ammo packs all the time.

From my personal experience anyway, I find our medics tend to be more on the ball than our engies.

Yes it seems to be a little better on Miller (it was horrible for a long time) but I wonder if it is because NC is finally getting their shit together or it is because most of TR/VS outfits on Miller play less.

Ye it has been bad for a while. not been on for a good play session for about a week due to work. hopefully Gona get sat night (UK time) for a couple of hours.
Thu the biggest problem I think is lack of communication. the fact /RE ain't working 99% of the time makes that very hard LOL. plus a lot don't listen either

awesome. sounding better and better. haven't been on indar much since launch. miller NC seem to be on esamir most of the time which is ok as love the look of that place. night time is stunning.

Well TR always has population advantage on Woodman by 2-6% usually.
Nevertheless we NC stand our ground. Theres quite a lot of good NC outfits on woodman as well.
