What did PS and PSU mean to you?

Everyone got different things out of this community and the game itself (assuming you played it). Share em if you like.

PS really introduced me to not just online computer games but computer games in general. The only other online game I had ever played was AOE II, and while I played it pretty often, it didn't make nearly as big an impact as PS. When I read about the preview of it in a winter edition of Gamepro, I decided that I wanted to be apart of that game. When it finally released, it was absolutely awesome. I still maintain that the summer nights of 03 where I'd come home from wherever and log on for outfit operations were the most fun times I've ever had playing video games. The game in its prime was my favorite game of all time and really got me into online gaming.

PSU was also my first really big forum that I frequented, and thus I now know all the good and bad things that come with an internet community. I met a lot of awesome people here and had some good times. PSU will always be a community that I will never forget.

oh and /end swansong

PSU was the first community I ever really I was a "part" of. You guys have been awesome. I was first introduced to PS when I read a preview in PC gamer, I visited the site often and watched as more info was released.

PS was my first MMOG, and PSU was my first forum I've posted in. I have since left PS about 2 years ago... less time less interested when i hit 5k in kills. But I then became a PSU lounge rat and thoguh I haven't been around as much I've seen members come and go, but I'll miss this place... I've gotten some good fun links, tech info, and news that i didn't know... thanks guys.

PS was the first MMO game that I ever bought and had my own account. I met some great people in game, and even more people from PSU. I came to PSU January '03 and in February entered Exclusive Beta (which ROCKED). PS was incredibile because I love FPS's and I was able to share it with thousands of others..My favorite Place to fight was Amerish.

I will be back playing, during the month of august (here and there)..My friend is going on a trip for the month of august and has allowed me to play on his account. Even though my computer can't really handle it anymore, i'm still gonna play for old times. I never uninstalled it I just love the game that much. Maybe in the near future if I start making enough money to support paintball and have plenty left over, I will get back into the game that I truly love!

While not the first community Ive ever been a part of this is certainly one of the best. Ive been around here since the near begining (I started lurking 1 month after the start of PSU, subbed a month later), Ive been here for the good and the bad. Most of it was good. Ive made lots of friends here. Some I will always game with from now on. Electro, Knight, Everay, Robstr, Infernus, NoSurrender, Black, and now Ouroboros is in the group. We all share the common ground of being EvE freaks *sept for black* but we all play other games together. Ive met and befriended some other interesting people. Ive had grudges. Not many enemies. Its been 3 years. But its been one hell of a ride.

PSU = my introduction to the internet

I've only had a computer w/ internet for 5 years now, first was on dial up, I played Mech Warrior 4 in a clan that year but that was it. I found out about PS, entered in the beta contest here at PSU, won, convinced parents to get BroadBand, and started posting not to long after. Every day sence I won PSU has been my hompage. I've met alot of people, many of whom I will continue to talk to.

Bye, It's been a good run. o\

PSU was really my first forum community that I visited everyday. It was my introduction to the "serious" gamers. PS was one of the coolest games untill my graphics card blew up and we had to use an old crappy card, that would lag for 2vs2 battles. After that I quit.

Thank you Hamma and the rest of the community.
