Hey all,
The latest in my "Analyze This" video series is up on YouTube. This particular video takes a look into the most commonly asked questions on my stream chat (twitch.tv/itzmurda_tv) regarding everything from game settings to keybinds and general functionality of the game. Some of the settings or binds in PS2 are a little bit hidden or counter-intuitive, or perhaps were added in a later patch and overlooked -- this video makes sure you don't skip a beat! My apologies in advance for the length of the video, but I was surprised how many regular PlanetSide 2 players in my stream were genuinely were unaware of many of these things and wanted to provide a thorough, yet helpful commentary for as many people as I can possibly reach with this video. In short, a list of the topics covered in the video (in the order they appear) are: - Centralized HUD Mode - Customized Colors - Engineer Turret also functions as an Ammo Box! - Holding Breath while sniping to avoid scope sway - Redeploying via Hotkey (continue moving around) - Instant Action via Hotkey with preview of deployment region - Autorun (yes, it was finally added by popular demand!) - Selectable Fire Modes - Toggling Attachments (Laser Dot/Flashlight) - Expanding Minimap - Zooming Minimap - Turning Off Voice Chat for certain channels - Vehicle Management Pane - Pitching Aircraft via keys for greater mobility As always, thank you all so much for your support and feedback. If you found this useful, please hit that thumbs up button and subscribe/follow my channels for future content! You can give me a holler on Twitter @xItZMuRdAx as well. Thanks! WTF??? That Engineer Turret shit is obviously not intended and needs to be fixed.
Why the hell would ANYONE carry an ammobox if you can do that? What a weird thing to leave in the game. It's like they originally had ammo boxes working like that, where you switch with a key between it and your turret, but then later changed it to have it's own weapon slot, but forgot to remove the former method. Brain damage much? Last edited by Tom Peters; 2013-05-29 at 07:15 PM. |

I don't think they intended to be use like that. and yes you should choose between ammo and mines..... The whole point of classes and consumables is choice. |

This is something a lot of people haven't heard of because it probably wasn't intended. There is NO reason for any engineer to have ammo kits in their utility now, and that makes them have double the amount of utility they had before. It makes the engineers have more options than they should. This is called making something imbalanced. Maybe you've heard of it? |

the light assault doesn´t have to choose between c4 and jetpack the ha doesn´t have to choose between mines and shield so why should the engineer have to choose between its ability and mines? and you might not have noticed, the terran republic also has engineers! it´s not that this is a benefit for only one side, so where´s the imbalance? if there is anything wrong with the engineer, it´s that the ace can´t switch between more blueprints and you still have to choose between ai and av turrets in advance.

You used to be able to drop both and have 2 boxes, but they fixed that, so maybe it is certed. Haven't checked that in some time.

I would have preferred for them to keep it in. Because for anyone not certed into free bonus XP (read: Mines) they should at least be able to drop dual ammo packs. It helps the team! |

I believe they stated that the dual ammo boxes was unintential. So they removed the ability to put 2 out at a time. They allowed us to retain the option to change your turret into an ammo box without taking the ammo box as a separate slot. Then changed the cert for ammo boxes to fall under the IA turret specifically. The AV turret has it's own label and cert tree now. I am fairly sure that the certs do impact the turret ammo box, but I have no clue why the regular ammo box is still there. Last edited by Dragonskin; 2013-05-30 at 05:10 PM. |

This has been stated as a feature by devs since the first month. Go be stupid somewhere else.

Perhaps I was wrong and this is 'intended', but if that's true, the devs are even more retarded for still allowing you to select an ammo box in your utility. Why would ANYONE in their right mind want to be carrying around TWO ammo boxes? That is incredibly shoddy game design, tbh. Have ammo deploying work one way or the other, not both. |

Im right and thats that. I dont have to find stuff for you. There are no linkable "sources" anymore with SOE in most cases. The devs do live casts on multiple platforms every week not to mention the countless text platform and sitr they address the public on.
