I have a feeling that we ain't seen nothin yet. If you think about it, the only new thing that SOE has to promote is Planetside 2, (EQ Next is still a ways off) and since they have a whole marketing department...well those people need something to do.

They're using one of the most effective ways to promote a game. It's basically all based on word of mouth, add in some "exciting gameplay footage" get people excited and it spreads like wildfire(I've even told 3 people about this game I'm so convinced). Eventually the population will explode for this game, this is even more true since they're going to be using a f2p model.

Not to mention all these game sites listing it is helping a fair bit, but I doubt it's anywhere near as effective as word to mouth, MAYBE if it gets in the top 3 or 5.

Although this wasn't SOE's doing, XFX just posted this link on Facebook.

Although, we've probably all seen it (posted on the forums yesterday), it still means that XFX indirectly promoted PS2 to 15000+ people.

its everywhere, I have a google news alert for PS2 going and there are articles all over the place about that video and PSU is getting credited with the vid

I do find it remarkable that SOE doesn't release the clip to us in HD,it would be nicer if all the new ppl seeing the new vid saw it in a pristine setting instead of a clip of a clip

On a somewhat related note, how come PSU's main page and the news box up top don't have that 'HOT' icont in front the news item about The9 website, even though it's above 200 commments?

We specify the hot flag manually it's not defined by comments or any other automatic method.
