I played the WoW beta and I am playing EQII.
EQII doesn't have many bugs, and the most annoying that I DID know of, dissappearing NPC's is fixed. WoW is a decent game, its just less comlicated then EQII. WoW has 3 things over EQII. Crafting system (EQII has a seriously conveluted system) PvP (I like PvP but its not a make or break situation for me.) Warcraft Setting. EQII Has three things over WoW Depth Graphics (I like EQII's over WoW when it's all said and done) Deeper GamePlay Both games have pro's and con's.

Okay first thing is first, I was a big EQII Fan, till I played the game. There are LOTS of things in the EQII mechanics that make it deeper, the quest system as a whole, the stories and especially the Betrayal Quest (which I have done TYVFM)... I mean hearing Christopher Lee call for your execution.. how cool can you get? The crafting ssytem is inheriently deeper. It takes SERIOUS dedication, friends, guildmates and tons of patience to advance in the artisan lines. You cannot be "just a weaponsmith" and expect to use that as solo time. It ain't gonna happen. Its also hosed beyond compare , but the actual amount of craftable items and the lengths to ACHIEVE said crafting... Comming up on Holly Windstalkers grave out in Qeynos Hills... I didn't knwo whether to Piss on it for her killing my EQI character several times, or be awed by that little touch... All that being said, it took me 3 days of hard WoW play with Dedenimuls to realize the Truth about EQII and WoW. I could talk about the broke ass crafting/selling system in EQII (relying on others to even do lvl 10 stuff was GARBAGE, or the fact you have to stay IN YOUR ROOM to sell... BAH!) I could go into the detail of the EQII graphics Vs the WoW graphics... but that leads to an artistic sense debate as well as a "are the graphics WORTH the high price of admission?" debate. Thats all BS, you name ANYTHING ABOUT WoW or EQII and I can simplify the Truth for you. Here is the Truth: WoW is a Casual Gamers MMO done near flawlessly. Like a great PG movie, fun for the kids, but fun for the adults as well. EQII is a Hard Core gamers game. The advantages of being in a large guild, having multiple accounts and computers running and the slower pace of advancement leaves the player base for EQII inheriently smaller.

Good to see.
The difference between WoW and EQII is that EQII feels like work. With WoW, I'm actually enjoying myself. You can have all the deep gameplay mechanics you want, but if its not fun to play, it dosen't mean a thing. Besides, WoW can start implementing deep systems once the server issues are worked out.
