So if your gonna be like me and be pay to play, what could Planetside2/SOE give us for a subscription.(I am also hoping for a Year or lifetime Sub Plan)
- Exp Boost (More then Likely) - Resource Boost? (maybe) - More Customizable Soldiers? (Appearance) - bonus station cash when purchasing from SOE Anything Else you wanna see for your $15? |

I'd say:
1. full access to everything (all decals, camos, etc...) and extra conveniences (exp boost, empire change free, etc...) as long as you have a subscription up. 2. money spent for subs is available to do acquire stuff like a F2P player. So when you stop using subscription access, you lose access to all the goodies BUT all the money you spent subscribing is not lost since you could also acquire some items with that money. I'm curious to see what will be SOE's model though since, as a business, I assume they would want to extract the most money out of us. |

I can see a problem if subs get everything. Example:
- Bob is playing the game for free (no sub) - Bob buys camo for his gun - Bob later decides that he wants to sub - Bob subscribes and gets everything unlocked - Bob realised that the camo he bought for his gun is irrelevant as he has them all now - Bob get pissed off because he feels he's been cheated Last edited by Therion I; 2012-03-09 at 05:18 AM. |

On topic..... I stuggle to see what a sub will provide. I can't be 'all of the item in the cash shop' otherwise what is to prevent you getting each one and then unsubbing. Perhaps it's a monthly station cash allowance, or assuming the ranks are BR1-10 you can't go over BR5 without a sub. |

While I do want to be in the Premium Member category, I don't really like the $15 a month. I think it should be more like, you get certain benefits if you've spent a certain amount of cash in the shop, or if you spend some every month. Like an Xp boost that lasts for a month after buying anything. Or spending X amount of cash gives you a free camo, buying something for 6 consecutive months gives you access to some veteran chat channel, just brain storming here

Something like this. http://www.ddo.com/vip or http://www.lotro.com/betasignup/vipchart.html and its ONLY $9
To this day I still think that Turbine has the best "f2p but you can sub to be a vip" model I've seen yet. Honestly $15 a month is a rip off and shows you are just milking a cow. $9 a month is good. So all in all. Take Turbine's F2p model. Switch most of the RPG parts to League of Legends models and there you go.

i think if they do this ( wich is like the planetside reserves systems ) the game wont exactly be F2P anymore, since your lvl also decides what cert you can get and all that jazz.
so you cant get everything for free anymore wich is against the whole F2P idea i would be happy with this to, but i think a sub should be cheaper in that case , since 15$ for just a normal xp rate and some discount is a little expensive Last edited by megamold; 2012-03-09 at 05:39 AM. |

sub:
- normal xp/resource gain rates - better cert training speed - some added visual benefits ( like a sub only camo pattern ) - a discount on all cosmetic items ( cause i think giving every sub everything might be overkill, especcially when the store gets HUGE over time) -added benefits ( for ex if there is a poplock sytems, getting in before the F2P people ) Last edited by megamold; 2012-03-09 at 05:13 AM. |

If I'm paying $15/mo subscription, I expect to get access to everything.
Why the hell would I pay $15/mo for a DISCOUNT on items? This would be a load of crap in my opinion. Subscription should have perks that are ACTUALLY worth $15/mo WITHOUT having to by into other items to equal even $15/mo in savings. |

This isn't going to be the main money maker for PS2 and really just more of a bonus to give to those who want that.

i would rather get a 75% discount to buy the stuff i actually like and never lose it even if i no longer pay the sub i wouldnt pay 15$ for a discount but generaly speaking subs in f2p games are cheaper then the regular pay to play model |

Among the benefits I belive the sub of say £10 should also give you say £10 of station cash (could be changed) this would allow you to buy things in the store. Along with the subscription be allowed unlimited access to the different camo's. But if you get rid of your membership you still keep the items you have bought.
