An other iPod problem.

After finding out how to fix the thing, it ran well for about 2 weeks. Now, I get this weird problem. I have the 30gb iPod video, and this evening, I left it to charge, when I came back to check its status, iTunes kept wanting to update the iPod with more songs, I said no a few times. After this, my iPod turns off. I cannot turn it on, untill i disconnect it from the computer. at this point, the thing powers up normally, only half charged. Now, I got to plug it in again, and it looks like it wants to sync, but after a second or so, the iPod just turns off. I tried reseting my system, and the iPod, but nothing has worked. Any Ideas?

I have the exact same iPod. Never had the problem, infact, never had a problem with it besides the battery life decreasing.

Have you reset the iPod back to factory settings? It'll suck if you have ALOt of shit in it, but it might work.

At the very least, turn off the automatic sync.

Can you reset it to factory setting on the iPod? If you have to use the computer, im out of luck, just because when ever I hook it up, it dies.

Go to the Genius bar at the Apple store! Those guys looked really smart when I went in the other day.

Yes you can reset to factory settings in the iPod. *Checks his to make sure*

Yep, if you get it on, go to Settings, and at the bottom it should have "Reset All Settings" *Gasp*

Step 1. Pry open ipod.
Step 2. lay out a massive, steaming, 5 star, heaving shit in the ipod
Step 3. Close ipod.
