Tank Plating Customizations

Edit: Missed the fact they're provided in the official announcement - see post #2. However the screenshot I took doesn't match the announcement image, so it may be worth checking of any of the others differ.

Edit #2: Evil Redrum recommends checking out the customization's in Preview on the store, as the still images used in the announcement are out-of-date. Added remaining magrider images; updated with link to some vanguard images.

Well. That'll learn me to not actually read the official announcements.

Edit: Hm, Spliced doesn't seem to match what I saw with what they posted; in the image from the announcement you only see the front plate, and the front plate itself is only a single piece (http://www.soe.com/images/community/...3/ps2Mag03.png)

I would just say make sure to check out the cosmetics in game, a lot of the cosmetics shown on that page look/are out of date.

It's a shame the in-game preview window for the cosmetics is pretty terrible

Uhm.. how? Afaik there is nothing that enables me to see cosmetics on my player/tank?

But the current preview window sucks bawls. the cosmetic is about 40% of the screen with a weird spin axis. Very hard to really get a good idea of how it will look ingame.

The preview option is terrible. It's been said and suggest several times that a paper doll option be done for cosmetics.

That was in the roadmap Feb update.. its been pushed back months.. Even though the models and meshes are already ingame, honestly how hard would it be....

The Stalwart plating looks awesome, it makes the prowler bigger and it stands out.

On the other hand, it probably counts as an additional hitbox because I sometimes get stuck because of it

It doesnt count as part of the hit box. In fact the cosmetic upgrades (at least for the prowler) have no hit detection at all. Ive tested. You can walk/shoot through all the extra stuff at the back and all the stuff at the front. I got the one that makes my prowler look like the Thunder Tank as I didnt like the rounded bits on the Stalwarts ass.

The most annoying thing with the cosmetic upgrades is how they deal with decals. It half covers up the decal you have chosen on the front of the tank and on most of the TR ones the TR decals on the rear are all obscured or cropped in some way.
