I dont know if this has been thrown out their before but i was playing yesterday and i ran into a max with my thumper on jammer mode. It was a VS max and i had a couple of friendlys behind me with thumpers also. So naturally I just shoot at the max hoping that the red flash would scare him a bit cause he wasnt exactly at full armor. But he jump jets up and kills all of us and if he wouldnt have had those jumpjets we would have killed him. When that happened a thought came to my head like why cant jammers disable maxes special abilitys. It wouldnt be overpowered cause your not really hurting them. Most people would probably just use it as a getaway from maxes(especially VS ones). Thats all i would use it for and i wouldnt mind seeing this put into the game

I think that would be a fair deal, though. TR MAXes sacrifice all mobility to lock down and fire superfuckin'fast. So it wouldn't be unreasonable to have them unaffected by jammers. However, as a fair compromise, every jammer they get hit by while non-anchored would start a three-second delay where they couldn't.

Seeing this happen would make me very, very sad. and homicidal.
I can't imagine a bigger pain in the ass than constantly getting jammered by random idiots. It already happens like they expect it to do anything. MAXs can be tough to use already without getting nerfed. |

its not a nerf its an easier way to defend yourself as a foot soldier and the unanchor TR max thing would be cool. But if they were unanchored and got hit by a jammer than they would do something else im not sure what yet but i will think of something.

Infantry are glass.
They are supposed to be broken. Aircraft and tanks outdoors, AI maxs indoors. At least, this is what it is supposed to be in my opinion. AI maxs really don't totally dominate infantry, and in my opinion they should not. AI maxs and specifically the scattercannon do exactly what they should do. Potentially they could mow through a group of unprepared infanty, however when combined with a force of grunts they tip the scales significantly. Grunts can do almost everything, that does not mean they should be invulnerable to everything. If you are having such a hard time with killing an AI max, and can't be bothered to try aiming at it with AV, get a rocklet. You practically don't need to aim with one of those to chew up a max anyways. Or we could just make jammer disable everything. Max weapons, infantry weapons, pistols, we could all just run around with jammer thumpers and knife each other. |

Umm no. Un ancoring a TR max would stop them for firing. While jammering a VS or NC max simply limits thier survivablity. I am still against the idea though.
Honestly maxes need an armor "buff" where thier armor is a seperate armor class that takes 2/3 the damage that they currently do from AV weapons. |

instead of an armor buff to increase max survivability, putting the decimator back into special assualt would drastically make it easier to survive as a max. currently theres no way to walk into a fight without being decimated with in 5 seconds of opening fire. i wouldnt even ask for the decimator to be nerfed just not as readily availeble. another thing... *gets decimated by an elmo AGAIN*
