Fuel Stations

Are the vehicles going to run on some type of fuel or crystals or something that will need to be replaced or will the fuel supply be unlimited? Same thing with bases will they have some kind of power supply that can be cut off during a base takeover or will they always be powered?

I haven't heard anything about fuel cells of any type. But not having followed this as closely as some, I could have missed something. Seeing how you just create vehicles out of nowhere (well... you have to be at a place to create them, but it doesn't require anything except the cert to drive it), I don't see what the point of making us run out of gas would be except to slow the action down by forcing you to return to base for gas. And wasn't the whole point of getting rid of some of the stuff they got rid of in the interest of a fast game, not a slow one??

Well, I know that the Vanu vehicles are "powered" by some energy source, and once they get too far from it, they gradually slow down, until they stop. This may or may not be the same with TR and NC.

All vehicles are like that - no fuel cells or any refueling

I've heard all vehicles are powered by the warp gate. If you go iunto the ocean you get too far from the gates and you power dwon so I don't think there will be fuel cells

In response to your second question:
Bases will have generators powering the base that can be destroyed/repaired.

I believe you can go no farther than 5 kilometers from a warpgate.

Given how far ahead in the future PS is, vehicles and MAX armor probably operate off of some sort of advanced form of nuclear power. Cold fusion or some such, maybe something different for the Vanu people (likely the generic "energy" based fuel). So as far as the game would be concerned, they'd have an unlimited power supply.

actually this is not true because they loose power once they stray to far from a controled base. It is the warpate energy they use for power i think.

No, that's all wrong. That's just the plot device they are using to explain why vehicles can't travel too far over the ocean. When you go too far over the ocean your vehicle will sink. But you will be able to travel anywhere on the continent without losing power.

Right you are. I change my answer to: Barring any design decisions added in by the developers, the vehicles have effectively unlimited power.

Yeah, it would be a bit stupid you could run out of fuel and be stuck in the middle of nowhere.
