Hey people! I wanna learn how to kick serious buttocks, a.k.a learning a Martial Art, and I don't have a clue what to do! Does anyone here 'know the ways of [insert random dead japanese warrior name here]' and what does it involve?
I'm thinking of doing Iaido, involving the drawing of a sword, the death cut, the cleaning of blood from the blade (!) and the final returning of sword to the scabbard. |

Well I did a bit of kung fu... hated it dropped it lol since they dont show us traditional kung fu here they show a variation of it for street fighting in America (at least here thats the way they show it lol)
I did medieval combat and still do it. (I tried every weapon I could... my favorite is the sword but there is alot of them coming in next month so I will have some new toys lol) I will start two things soon: Bo (quarter-staff) and Bushido! and as my friend who went toe to toe with his bushido master said!: I Blocked all of his hits! With my ribs!

I wanna use a staff, but no where local does anything with it. I guess a Katana is just as much fun
I tried Kickboxing once, it was boring and you had to do about 30 minutes exercise before you actually got to kick something! AND that something happened to be air! I guess that weapons related arts have less exercise. |

I'm a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do, but we moved away from the training center.
However, I am a firm beliver that fighting is for when you run out of bullets. First defense: Second defense:

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
