Ok how about mini-rockets vs Frags?

When looking at special assault which does more damage on a max, the rockets or the Frags? I know the big missle does the most but it isn't very good against infantry now is it?

Frags do more damage to MAXes, but you have to calculate the angle of the launch. You also can't do a rapid-fire mode like the Rocklet Rifle. Frags or Rocklets, your choice. I personally would use thumper, as you can whack infantry really effectively with that, too.

plus the thumper gets the delayed fire mode. you simply cannot put a price tag on being able to lob grenades around a corner at an enemy MAX rather than having to face him toe-to-toe.

I've also found the AoE effect to be really really useful for the occasional coordinated MAX in a CC. ya know, the ones that have an engineer behind them squirting away with the BANK? hit him with a few frags off to the side and you've softened up the MAX as well as taken out his armor-supply-on-legs.

thumper all the way!

Out of my experiences (I've used both extensively), the thumper is a much better indirect fire weapon. However, the Rocklet-gun has a better damage vs. infantry, despite what the effectiveness charts say. It's also a direct fire weapon, so no compensation is needed. If there was to be a duel between a rocklet-gun and a thumper, the rocklet would win outside, and the thumper inside. Thumper wins inside because indirect fire is teh pwn inside, but outside, indirect fire isn't as useful as direct.

If you're not using decimators frequently and you have special assault, you are doing something wrong.

I find Rocklet better, secondary fire deal with infantry in an instant and in two secondary fire shots you can take a MAX down...I did it in Agiel and survived, its way better than Thumber in 1on1, but in groups of enemies you want Thumper

I agree. I don't use the Rocklet much, but I've killed a lot more MAX units with it than the Thumper.

I hav two set-ups Arakiel:

1. Jackhammer/Decimator Setup with about 180 Jackhammer rounds and 6 decimator rounds

2. Rocklet/Thumper Setup with about the same amound fo rounds for each, all plasma for Thumber except the default 6 Frag.

I use the decimator more often but the other for Towers...you really use secondary fire on Decimator?
I never did, I think it makes me vunerable sicne I amw atching the missle while I could be moving or possible switched weapon and killing people.

The Rocklet is good for jumping MAXes too. You can usually get them before they realize what is happening, too bad that you can't carry so much ammo, or half my kills would be TR MAXes!!! YEAH FOOL CUZ
