reading the tank thread, i was reminded of some recent experience with battlefield 1942. mainly, rocket launchers are meant for armors. their blast radius seems very limited and weak. i wonder if all the anti-armor weapons will behave the same way in PS.

It would be funny when those bunch of guys with decimators out get ambushed and raped bcause they were prepared for real combat.
Besides, the thumper and rocklet will probably be better at softening up infantry because you only need a couple of guys to carry them, and they are multipule use.

Yeah, as cool as it might be, the decimator will only be good if you find a large group of people to shoot it at. Because it takes up a rifle slot, and is only a one-shot weapon, so otherwise it would be a waste. This makes its uses somewhat limited.

If anything else you can always use it as mobile artillery. But, most anti-armor weapons tend to have a specialy shaped warhead to focus all of the explosive power on a single point for penatration so there's generaly not a lot of a blast radius when using them. Rockets, mortars, grenades, claymors, mines, etc . . . are made to have a better blast radius because there used more for infantry for fragmentation depending on the design. Beam weapons are all up to the devs of a game cause there's no real world data on them to study or go by. Sure you have some debate on beam weapons cause there hasen't been a real world test using them and are mostly based on physics.
