And did u know that when they were designing the A-10 they built the aircraft around the gun and putthe engines above and behind the main wing to protect if from enemy fire. And the whole cockpit is a armored tub and the gun is placed alittle to the right to counter the torque.

Lol sputty if ur gonna use the fact that I gave you please for the love of god get it right. The a10 HAS enough ammo to stop the plane in mid air. But the plane has biult in bust limits. The plane has a max speed of 420mph and it has two GE TF34-GE-100 Turbofans mounted high and speparated to protect them from ground fire and missles and cannon shells damaging BOTH engines. Dual control lines prevent the A10 from loosing all control surfaces. The engines produce aprox. 9 050 lbs of thrust each, this means that the cannon produces over 18,100 lbs of recoil. Like sky tiger said the GAU-30 30mm avenger cannon is mounted ofset to the centerline of the plane slightlky to the right from a forward veiw to counter the torque produced by the spining barrel and ammo being fed into the gun. The titanium bath tub surrounding the cockpit and main avionics is designed to take slugs up to and including 25mm (highest size employed by enemy armies for light AA duty). The entire plane is jsut one big redundancy..... Ok im done.
