Couple of nights ago, i saw a very strange thing. I saw one of my own NC players, with a TR chain gun....
I did not think this was possible ????!!! I asked him how he got it, but he was a bit vague, somthing about stealing it..... Is this possible or has this guy hacked the game ???. (i have a screenshot if thou disbeliveth me!) |

What sputty said....
If you have Heavy assault certification, then if you loot the backpack of someone you kill you can use their heavy assault weapon. (if they have a heavy assault weapon). You must have the same certification as whatever weapon you are trying to use. Example Heavy assault: Chain gun, Lasher, Jackhammer Anti Vehicle: Striker, Phoenix, err do the VS have a AV weapon? Oh yea the lancer (TR and NC break out laughing at the VS AV weapon). Anyway you get the point. If you have one cert you can "steal" the same cert weapon from enemies who have fallen. |

you do not need the cert of any weapon to loot them, you just can not use them unless you have the Cert for the weapon.
so if any squad mates have the cert you can loot for them as well, me locker is stocked full of some weapons I can not use, but tehy are there for my buds if they want 'em |

Personally, I think killing someone with a looted weapon of their own empire is the ultimate in humiliation.
I can only imagine the Ph3ar that a Reaver pilot feels when they hear the lock-on tone

I've found that having a good locker loudout is very important for a grunt that doesnt have Adv Hacking. I keep a plentiful supply of Jackhammers and MCGs(weapons that I have ammo for in my "spawn suit" so all I have to do is swap it with my suppressor and move out). Also, I keep several decimators(for those CC camping maxes) and some med guns in there too.
