Ah, but therein lies the beauty of it. Normally yes, resin is horrible and definately shouldn't be eaten (smoked maybe if you're in dire straights and even then it's still pretty nasty) however the fruit keeps it's own taste and you can barely notice the resin at all. Kind of like with magic brownies how you can barely taste the special ingredient. Then if you make a pie from the fruit there is really no taste difference at all. Give it a shot, you might be pleasantly suprised although admittidly making pie is something not everyone would know how to do, I sure as hell don't
