Sturmgrenadier would like to thank the developers for all their hard work and dedication in implementing Platoons for Planetside. The added capabilities provide another weapon in the arsenal of the best outfit on Emerald.
Sturmgrenadier has been prepared for the release of Platoons since before Beta. We structured our entire Command around the concept and have formed one of the most effective fighting forces on Emerald. With the upcoming release, we are eagerly looking forward to our continued success strategically and enhanced prowess in the field. Led by an Overall Command, Sturmgrenadier is formed into three BattleGroups for operational purposes. This organization is supported completely by our Teamspeak system. With the use of squad channels, platoon and Command channels-we are able to remain in constant communication and support of each other. BattleGroup Wasp and Hornet comprise the majority of our members and are perfectly suited to bring the battle to wherever it is required. Armor, Max and Infantry units work closely together under a BattleGroup Commander to maximize our fighting strength. Supported by Armor wings and Galaxy pilots, our groundpounders can traverse entire continents and deadlock enemy offensives with speed and alacrity. BattleGroup Stinger was formed expressly for those SG members who showed incredible dedication and skill in aerial operations. Proficient in all airborne vehicles, BG Stinger members fulfill duties such as aerial recon, bombardment, attack and convoy assault/defense. Acting in concert with the other BattleGroups, Stinger is able to bring the appropriate resources to any situation at a moments notice. Each BattleGroup can support multiple squads and is designed to be organized into Platoon structures. With Platoon Leaders reporting to BattleGroup leaders, and Battlegroups reporting to Command-Sturmgrenadier is a self-sufficient tactical force capable of stopping the enemy zerg in their tracks. The implementation of Platoons will allow Sturmgrenadier to function with the full capabilities that our organizational layout offers us. Improved tracking and positioning of squads, rapid exchange of intel and the ability to direct our forces in a more efficient and capable manner. Sturmgrenadier has shown the world that Planetside offers so much more amongst a cadre of dedicated, mature and skilled players. If you would like to join us, please visit www.sghq.com and fill out an application. If you need more proof, contact any member of Sturmgrenadier in game and ask to join a squad. We are more than willing to show people why it is that we lay claim to the title of the premier outfit on Emerald and Auraxis. ___________________ Intruder1, Sturmgrenadier Recruitment/Public Relations

I respect SG and everything, but I have never seen any other outfit "blow their own horn" (so to speak) more than SG. But I have to agree with Kilgs here, Platoons has seriously helped my own outfit become even more organized than it was in the past even though we use TS as well. GG devs. See you on the battlefield SG. You guys are always a good and challenging fight.

I've been a member of other outfits. And SG is the MOST organized of all.
Other outfits that I've been apart of have leaders that will tell you that their's is "the most active outfit of all. We continuously have many members online. I've spoken with Eno and sometimes he doesn't know where all of his members are." That doesn't depict organization. The only thing that it depicts is a good zerg force. And truth is, every team needs a zerg force to win continents. If you've ever been online at a huge battle when 1/2 the continent is TR or VS and the other 1/2 is NC... And seems like it's been forever trying to fight over 1 base in the middle. Then you notice that the enemy's last tech plant have lost power for about 30 minutes.. enough time to pull them back and allow a friendly push. That's the time to check where SG is at. It's more then just zerging, and if you ever want to witness what PS can do, you should give them a try. But I think adding platoons put SG's effectiveness 2 times what it was before. P.S. I watched the video before I joined SG thinking.. "that's not how they do things all the time. I bet most of it is staged." Boy was I wrong. |

I'm sorry, because I haven't been playing much lately. However, -PAW- has, by far, the highest point to member ratio on Emerald. And when I played with them we would take peak continents by ourselves (about 20 of us). The aren't always organized, but when they have the leaders on Teamspeak, they absoutely OWN the competition. Hehe, even if they're friendlies.
I'm coming back into the game hopefully, and since I was out for a while, they cleaned me out of the roster , so I'm going to try a couple of other outfits. Sturm is on the top of my list, I do want to see if they've got the teamwork thing down firsthand.
