google wtf?

ok so if i try to visit http://www.google.com it comes to a page that says

Error: The website you are looking for does not appear to be located on this server.

If i click the link, then it goes to http://justtemplates.com/search.html and i finally can click "google", which sends me to http://216.239.37.99/

this last page allows me to search google, but wtf is wrong and why cant i just visit google directly?

I get some thing that says there is no website configured at this address.

If I click on google on that link you gave me to an IP address and it works.


Earlier I was having a problem where if I went to www.google.com I would get a page not found error. Weird

Some guy named jack took over your browser.

Its adware. Whenever you enter google.com into your browser, it will re-route you to thier site, which is a google lookalike except with ads. I've had the google hijack before, just get spybot S&D and it will find it.

me gots the google tool bar it block popups and lets me search to my harts content, never had any probs with connecting to google

I can't search for sites via the google toolbar. I can search images, but not sites.

I can't search using yahoo either.

Yup sounds like a hijack. Check your hosts file for changes.

I think its in c:\windows\system32 or somthing

Search for "hosts" and open it in notepad
