I was looking at the recent polls on this website and it appears that the game will be full of leet snipxor dewds and maybe 3 Commanders and 20 drivers...hmmmm.

Probably. I have a bad feeling there willl be roving bands of nothing but sniper d3wds, having 20 or so snipers taking shots at you all at once would get old, fast.

It takes the sniper rifle (bolt driver) about 4 seconds to reload, then you have to re aquire target, rinse and repeat. One Max will take out that whole group of 20 snipers. Thats the thing about this game, it seems at least, that you really have to prepare a squad that is well balanced otherwise you're gonna get eaten alive. There will be these sniper squads, but they won't matter for shit cause a squad of all snipers isn't going to take or protect a base.

Oh I agree..the prepared squad will prevail 90% of the time. All these little snipe happy kiddies are going to be in for a wake up call.

You can't trust anything right now, not the polls nor the info, until the game is gold and we all played it no one really knows what they will do and how they will do it.

And besides, not only do snipers take several headshots to kill a medium armor, but max suits are perfectly suited to anti-sniper duty. I wouldn't be suprised if that's one of the biggest reasons the devs put them in the game. Planetside is being designed with killing snipers in mind, most fps's are not. I wouldn't be suprised if we find that being a sniper is so dangerous, people will complain that they're underpowered.

I plan to be a sniper no matter what. I also plan to attack people with the galaxy by landing it on them. It shall be fun. Like shoots and ladders.
